UN Update:
We are a week away from the Commission on Social Development 62. On Monday, January 29th, the Civil Society NGO will host the Bureau and UN Mission States for a breakfast to share with them our NGO Civil Society Declaration as well as the side events being held on and off-site at the UN and the Orientation that will take place on Sunday, February 4th for attendees as well as the actual Civil Society Forum that will take place on Friday, February 9th from 9:00 – 3:00 PM.
Under the leadership of Sr. Jean Quinn, DW, and Ms. Despoina Afroditi Milaki, NGO rep for the International Presentation sisters. Together they have prepared a wonderful week ahead for the Civil Society Commission on Development 62.
Starting Monday, January 29th, the civil society will host a breakfast for the Bureau and UN Mission Nations at the Bahai as a kickoff to next week’s work on social development. This will be an opportunity to share with them the NGO’s Civil Society Declaration, Orientation morning February 4th, and the upcoming Civil Society Day, February 9th. Below is the agenda.

Exciting news for the Dominican Leadership Conference NGO is a new intern for this semester.
Mr. Ryan Wellington, a student at Fordham, is joining us for six to nine hours a week. And when possible, come to the UN for various commissions, etc. I’m delighted to welcome Ryan to the Dominican NGO. Here is his short bio and photo of Ryan. Welcome Ryan.
Hello! I am Ryan Wellington, a junior at Fordham University studying Economics. I recently took an internship position as Sr. Dusty’s assistant at the Dominican Leadership Conference and will be helping out with scheduling, communication, and technological resources!
